Company Profile
Midwest Lake Management, Inc. was officially started in 2003, but the dream of forming
this business began in 1998. We are a full-service company that manages and consults
with most aspects of aquatic ecosystems. The company was started by Shawn M. Banks
and Paul T. Horner. At the time, Shawn and Paul were both employed by the Missouri
Department of Conservation. Shawn worked in northwest Missouri as a fisheries management
biologist and Paul worked in central Missouri as a fisheries research assistant.
In 2005, they had more than 18 years combined experience working in the fisheries
field.
In it’s short existence, the company has really grown. We now have two technicians
with vast experience that help handle day to day operation. Ron Banks is retired
military and a former tournament angler. Steve Moyer is a retired farmer and active
carpenter. They both possess an important attribute that seems to be declining these
days- common sense. For our larger fishery research projects, we employ Dan Isermann
and Vince Travnichek. Dan and Vince both hold Ph.D.’s in Fisheries Science and bring
to the table years of experience. Resumes of any of our employees are available
upon request.
In addition to being fortunate enough to truly love the work we perform, we take
customer service very seriously. We value all of our customers and strive to make
our interactions positive and fair. The reputation and integrity of our company
and it’s employees are very important to us.
